Documentation Engineer | AI Workflow Design | Knowledge Systems

I build documentation infrastructure, from migration pipelines and localization systems to GitHub Actions workflows and AI-embedded documentation. I work at the intersection of engineering and documentation: translating technical requirements into systems, aligning cross-functional teams around new workflows, and shipping documentation infrastructure that scales.

Technical Writer

Nexthink | Madrid, Spain | December 2023 - Present

Own the documentation platform and tooling for the Product Education team, driving automation and cross-functional infrastructure initiatives.

Key achievements:

  • Led a team of seven to migrate 4,000+ pages of product documentation from Confluence to GitBook in under four months, resulting in:
    • A zero-breaking-change launch, supported by 600+ mapped redirects
    • A new documentation lifecycle process that the team adopted going forward
    • IT and security sign-off for the Okta SSO integration ahead of cutover, with no delays
  • Led an API documentation migration from Stoplight to GitBook under a hard vendor contract deadline with no parallel-run window, resulting in:
    • €35,000 in annual cost savings
    • A zero-breaking-change domain transition
    • A consolidated developer experience across documentation portals
  • Led a Japanese localization initiative from vendor discovery to MVP in two sprints, resulting in a Crowdin-GitHub-S3 pipeline translating 9,000+ files, including:
    • Built prompt-engineering rules with an AI engineer to prevent mistranslated product names and broken markdown syntax.
    • Onboarded engineering onto Crowdin, expanding the platform beyond the documentation team.
  • Created and maintained documentation across 5+ products, in collaboration with Product Managers and engineering, translating complex systems into structured, accessible content.
  • Evaluated the localization pipeline for extension to 80+ e-learning courses.
  • Led internal enablement workshops on documentation processes for 22+ Product Managers.
  • Presented an AI automation initiative to auto-generate release notes by integrating Aha! with documentation tooling, resulting in the hire of a dedicated AI engineer to build it out.
  • Created and maintained AI Model Card documentation as a distinct documentation template category, partnering with legal and security to meet their review and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborated with engineering to document the AI model’s architecture, processing modes, and data visualization capabilities for the AI Model Card.
  • Owned the documentation-visibility process for an in-product AI search feature, working with engineering to implement a mechanism for excluding specific sections from AI retrieval.
  • Led weekly AI sessions on prompt engineering and ChatGPT integration, embedding ChatGPT projects into team workflows.
  • Diagnosed a GitBook-GitHub image sync defect: GitBook lets duplicate filenames exist across pages while GitHub requires unique ones, causing silent image overwrites during sync that broke the Japanese localized documentation specifically.
  • Created a guide to walk the team through the diagnosis on a call, rather than fixing it quietly alone.
  • Led a team sync to present the issue and align on a fix, proposing a descriptive, unique naming convention to replace the generic, duplicate-prone filenames causing the conflicts.
  • Built a documentation troubleshooting playbook covering broader GitBook-GitHub sync failures, including config errors, structure issues, and branch mismatches, enabling the documentation team to resolve issues independently.
  • Mentored a junior technical writer into independently owning the release cycle.
  • Coordinated staging-to-production branch handoffs with feature development teams to keep the API documentation pipeline aligned with release cycles.
  • Collaborated on a GitHub repository naming-convention cleanup for in-product documentation, standardizing file/folder structure to lowercase with zero breaking changes to production.

Technical Writer

MultiSafepay | November 2022 - December 2023

Solo technical writer owning the documentation lifecycle across 6+ cross-functional teams for a fintech platform, using docs-as-code.

Key achievements:

  • Collaborated with engineering to integrate Redocly CLI rule configuration into the API documentation repository. This eliminated sprint delays and achieved 100% on-time API documentation updates while reducing errors and inconsistencies across specs.
  • Partnered with the QA team to independently test new features, ensuring accurate documentation and comprehensive edge case coverage. This decreased support tickets and improved overall API usability and reliability.
  • Maintained and updated documentation for existing product features as the platform evolved, keeping content accurate across frequent releases in collaboration with product managers (PMs) and engineering.
  • Independently managed and prioritized documentation work through Jira, balancing competing priorities across multiple product releases as the sole writer on the team.
  • Worked closely with subject matter experts and PMs during handovers, keeping documentation as the source of truth as the product evolved in an agile environment.
  • Conducted quarterly documentation audits to identify and correct errors and inconsistencies across product documentation.
  • Supported the development team with UX writing, improving in-product UI text.
  • Rewrote existing documentation to align with topic types as part of quarterly OKRs.
